Cooperation on Investigative Assistance &
Enforcement maĴers

On behalf of Indian Customs, DRI actively engages with international partners to
seek and provide investigative assistance, including from countries without formal
bilateral agreements.

To enhance regional cooperation, DRI hosts the annual Regional Comprehensive
Enforcement Meeting (RCEM), bringing together Asia-Pacific customs officials to
share strategies and best practices. Nine RCEMs have been held to date. These
efforts have significantly improved intelligence sharing, resulting in major
seizures of narcotics, precious metals, and other restricted goods such as ciga-
rettes.
