India-Russia Customs Enforcement: Strengthening Ties
for Safer Borders

On the sidelines of the 67 DRI Founding Day celebrations, the first meeting of
the Joint India–Russia Working Group (JWG) on Customs Enforcement was held
th
on 4 December, 2024 in New Delhi. The meeting was co-chaired by the Princi-
pal Director General, DRI, and the Head of the Central Enforcement Department,
Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russia. The meeting reaffirmed the shared
resolve of both countries to work collaboratively for safer borders and more effec-
tive customs enforcement.
