My congratulations to the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence as it marks its
68th Foundation Day.
The Smuggling in India Report 2024–25 offers a clear picture of today’s
trends, challenges, and progress in the fight against smuggling. It also
shines a light on the DRI’s key achievements, especially the role of real-time
intelligence sharing and strong teamwork across agencies.
As smuggling networks become more advanced worldwide, close coopera-
tion – nationally, regionally and globally – has never been more needed.
This report reinforces the value of joint action, and greater information shar-
ing, between all enforcement agencies to tackle the growing threat of trans-
national organized crime and related criminality.
It also showcases the DRI’s continued commitment to protecting India’s
economy and communities which in turn contributes to a safer world.
