95 Smuggling in India Report 2024-25
Overview
The rapid expansion of global trade has amplified the challenges posed by coun-
terfeit goods, hazardous substances, and substandard products infiltrating legiti-
mate supply chains. In this evolving landscape, DRI remains resolute as a critical
line of defense, meticulously scrutinizing imports, enforcing stringent regulatory
compliance, and fostering collaboration with allied agencies. These measures not
only safeguard consumer interest and bolster legitimate commerce but also rein-
force the pillars of national security and public health.
