Conclusion

Commercial customs fraud in India continues to pose a serious threat to revenue,
trade integrity, and fair competition. Cases involving misclassification, under-
valuation, overvaluation, and misuse of duty exemptions and export incentives
highlight the evolving complexities of such frauds. DRI is responding through
enhanced data-driven monitoring and closer coordination with agencies like
DGGI, NCTC, and Income tax department.
