Apart from participating in the international enforcement operations launched by WCO, DRI has also provided specific intelligence inputs to law enforcement agencies of other countries including their customs administrations about the attempts to smuggle contraband into those countries. Such intelligence inputs have resulted in seizures of 4,59,06,600 Tramadol-225 tablets and 1471 cartons (of 100 ml bottles) weighing 15.33MT cough syrup containing codeine in various African countries like Guinea, Nigeria, Togo and Benin, where import of these items are prohibited.
