Indian Customs is committed to seamless flow of goods across the borders and also for trade facilitation. At the same time it is also the responsibility of Indian Customs to maintain global supply chain security and to ensure that the same is not used by unscrupulous elements for their nefarious activities. DRI, on behalf of Indian Customs, has always been at the forefront to achieve this objective by way of international enforcement cooperation through various platforms including international operations, both multilateral and bilateral, as also by way of establishing and strengthening regular communication channels for intelligence and information exchange. The objective of participating in international operations is not just to detect and seize the goods, but to disrupt these illegal supply chains and bust the multinational syndicates by joining hands with the global enforcement agencies. DRI believes that for addressing international trafficking, it is imperative to follow transnational approaches and solutions.
