MESSAGE
I extend my warm wishes to all personnel of Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) on the occasion of the 64th DRI Foundation Day. It is a moment of pride for all present and former officials of DRI.
The DRI throughout its rich and glorious past has distinguished itself as a professional and effective law enforcement agency. The officers and personnel of DRI have worked tirelessly and fearlessly not only to unearth complex commercial frauds, but have also contributed immensely in countering the menace of smuggling of gold, narcotics, wildlife, arms, antiques, environmentally sensitive items and other contraband & prohibited goods.
With its global presence and operational capabilities, DRl’s valuable and timely inputs have contributed in upholding national security. DRI’s role is pivotal in detecting and segregating certain highly sensitive material from the vast cargo of mercantile trade and passenger traffic that transit through the global commons on a daily basis.
I take this opportunity to congratulate all personnel of DRI on their 64th Foundation Day and urge them to continue performing their duties in an ever evolving and challenging environment, without fear or favor.
